Week of 10-16 August 2020

ISPs. Outages at UK internet service providers (ISPs) remained the largest number observed this year, staying at 23. Globally, they declined 26.9% from 227 to 166.

Cloud providers. In the UK 1 cloud outages was observed this week, up from 0 the prior week. Globally, the number fell 6.7% from 30 to 28.

Collaboration apps. There were again 0 UK collaboration network-provider outages observed, and globally there were also 0.

Week of 3-9 August 2020

ISPs. Outages at UK internet service providers (ISPs) were the largest number observed this year, rising from 10 to 23. Globally they rose from 181 to 227.

Cloud providers. In the UK no cloud outages were observed this week, the first time since late June. Globally the number increased from 18 to 30.

Collaboration apps. There were no UK collaboration network-provider outages observed, down from one last week, and globally there were also none.

Week of 27 July-2 August 2020

ISPs. Outages at UK internet service providers (ISPs) remained at 10 outages for the second consecutive week. Global ISP outages decreased marginally this week, dropping from 183 to 181.

Cloud providers. UK cloud providers outages rose from 1 to 3. Global cloud provider outages decreased by 38% when compared to the week prior, dropping from 29 to 18.

Collaboration apps. There was 1 outage in UK collaboration app provider networks, up from 0 the prior week. Globally, collaboration app network provider outages decreased from 3 to 1, a drop of 66% when compared to the week prior.

Week of 20-26 July 2020

ISPs. Outages at UK internet service providers (ISPs) rose 42.9% compared to the previous week, with 10 in the UK versus 7 the prior week. Global ISP outages rose 4.6% over the same period, from 175 to 183.

Cloud providers. UK cloud providers experienced 1 outage, the same as the prior two weeks. Global outages nearly doubled, from 15 to 29 over the prior week.

Collaboration apps. There were 0 outages in UK collaboration app provider networks, down from 1 the prior week. There were 3 global outages in the same period, up from 1 the prior week.

Week of 13-19 July 2020

ISPs. Outages at UK internet service providers (ISPs) rose 40% compared to the previous week, with 7 in the UK versus 5 the prior week. Global ISP outages fell 22.9% over the same period, from 215 to 175.

Cloud providers. UK cloud providers experienced 1 outage, the same as the prior week. Global outages dropped 58.3%, from 26 to 15 over the same period.

Collaboration apps. There was 1 outage in UK collaboration app provider networks, down from 4 the prior six weeks. There was 1 global outage — those same UK ones — in the same period, also down from 4 the prior week.

ISPs. Outages at UK internet service providers (ISPs) rose 25% compared to the previous week, with 5 in the UK versus 4 the prior week. Global ISP outages rose 41.4% over the same period, from 152 to 215.

Cloud providers. UK cloud providers experienced 1 outage, up from 0 the prior week. Global outages rose 44%, from 25 to 36 over the same period.

Collaboration apps. There were 4 outages in UK collaboration app provider networks, up from 0 the prior six weeks. There were 4 global outages in the same period, up 100% from 2 the prior week.

ISPs. Outages at UK internet service providers (ISPs) fell 15.4% compared to the previous week, with 11 in the UK versus 13 the prior week. Global ISP outages fell slightly: down 5.6% over the same period, from 250 to 236.

Cloud providers. UK cloud providers experienced 0 outages, down 100% from 2 the prior week. Global outages decreased 53.8%, from 26 to 12 over the same period.

ISPs. Outages at UK internet service providers (ISPs) rose 62.5% compared to the previous week, with 13 in the UK versus 8 the prior week. Global ISP outages rose only slightly: up 3.3% over the same period, from 243 to 250.

Cloud providers. UK cloud providers experienced 2 outages, up 100% from 1 the prior week. Global outages increased similary, up 85.7% from 14 to 26 over the same period.

Collaboration apps. There were 0 outages in UK collaboration app provider networks, versus 3 the prior week. Global outages rose 27.3% in the same period, from 11 to 14.

Week of 13 April-19 April 2020

ISPs. Outages at UK internet service providers (ISPs) rose 33% compared to the previous week, with 8 in the UK versus 6 the prior week. Global ISP outages rose even more: up 66% over the same period, to 243.

Cloud providers. Only 1 outage occurred at UK cloud providers, down 67% from 3 the prior week. Global outages also fell to 14, down by 26.3% in the same period.

Collaboration apps. There were 3 outages in UK collaboration app provider networks, versus 0 the prior week. Global outages rose 22.2% in the same period, to 11.

Week of 6 April-12 April 2020

ISPs. Outages at UK internet service providers (ISPs) declined 70% compared to the previous week, with 6 in the UK versus 20 the prior week. By contrast, global ISP outages fell 38.4% over the same period, to 141.

Cloud providers. Three outages occurred at UK cloud providers, the same number as for the prior week. By contrast, global outages fell 24% in the same period, to 19.

Collaboration apps. There were no outages in UK collaboration app provider networks, versus a 100% drop from 2 the prior week. Global outages fell 69% in the same period, to 9.

Week of 30 March-5 April 2020

ISPs. Outages at UK internet service providers (ISPs) rose 80% compared to the previous week, with 20 in the UK versus 11 the prior week. By contrast, global ISP outages fell 9.1% over the same period, to 229.

Cloud providers. Three outages occurred at UK cloud providers, versus two the prior week, an increase of 50%. By contrast, global outages rose 13.5% in the same period, to 25.
