This life, what a world, such a fabulous mess
Do we die? Do we choose to succeed at our best?
In the lines and the layers of this cosmic bs
Flickers moonbeams aligning what was once to regress.
I do love you, it’s true, I don’t care if it’s odd
Shining light in the dark to unmask the facade.
Just take my hand, I will lead and you follow
Close your eyes, take a breath, I just want you to know.
Inside that house there’s a place for me
And beside myself could be you with me.
And under that roof and between those walls
Lives a love we’ve never known at all.
This could be our thing, this could be our call.
Instead of falling down we can both stand tall
I will hold you up if you hold my hand
In this home of ours we could have never planned.
I never wanted my heart to be filled
So much when I’m near you, I’m empty, it spilled.
It’s nothing you do and it’s not what you say
But everything else just blurs all away.
The clutter, the chaos, the bills and the nonsense
Flush it all down, wipe away our subconscious.
I’m pleading you, bleeding you, imperfectly saying
I could love you forever, so deeply, I’m praying.
Inside that house there’s a place for me
And beside myself could be you with me.
And under that roof and between those walls
Lives a love we’ve never known at all.
This could be our thing, this could be our call
Instead of falling down we can both stand tall.
I will hold you up if you hold my hand
In this home of ours we could have never planned.
