Fathers come in all shapes and sizes
Sometimes they are mothers
Doing the work of both parents
Picking up all the slack
And those beautiful souls are to be celebrated today just as much.
You do what I do, we are one in the same
We give and we give then we give some more
Even in times of depletion, the extra mile is accomplished
Without reward or reciprocation
Benevolence embedded just like blood in our veins.
You deserve a lifetime, not a day, of praise and bottomless gratitude
You have framed the lives of the ones you adore
And you are worthy of a bounty of gifts of emotion and love
You are mother and father, and all in between
And you will be cherished and held close forever.
