Staring into my grave
Dug up fresh for me
It’s so beautiful
Cool and quiet, blurred perfection.

Any light I possessed is gone
This smothering of anything good
The darkness overtakes
Consumed now by twilight silence.

All I did was fight
Held down so long, why get up again
Snuff this life, I shouldn’t be
Flush away what is left of me.

Swaddled in this cradle of defeat
Alone to punish eternally
